My beautiful ''once in a lifetime'' Briarleigh Elsa of Maystan
26.3.86 - 13.1.99
From the moment Elsa was born I knew she was the one I was going to keep from my first litter of five puppies, she was to be my constant companion for almost 13 years, and i'd always dreaded the day
that I would no longer have her....She introduced me and got me hooked on showing, with which we did'nt start until she was almost two years old. We'd never been to ringcraft, but somehow she just new what to do.....her movement was second to none and she had that something 'extra special' called showmanship....all in all she was a complete pleasure to show, and i was always so proud to go in the ring with her.
She was dreadfully accident prone and so showing was rather limited unfortunately, but during her time in the ring she had Champ' show 1sts .....was a multiple BOB and RBOB winner at open shows.....several Res' BISs including a breed club show.......also gaining her Stud book number.
I even 'dabbled' in gundog training with her with which she loved! She was so so special and I still miss her every day following me wherever i went! ..... Oh how these dogs can break our hearts!
I can only sum it up by saying.......Thankyou Elsa ''I'm grateful you were mine xxx
